I love using slang in my ads. It just works. I’ve seen it work across various niches, but it also may be that the market uses its own slang or specific keywords that you can sprinkle through the ad.

Killer Affiliate Marketing Tips
10 red hot affiliate marketing secrets
for the beginners…
www.freeaffiliate-guide.com

Capitalize all words in the headline.
Someone searching for [copywriting] is going to want the secrets to writing great copy, Well I’ve been finding that the word “killer” will increase your CTR 100% and other slang words…like the word hot for example…  Paris Hilton thinks that ARS is hot.  And another very recent addition to my bag of tricks… I can’t believe I’m giving you this one… But I’ve found huge increases by using…

Yep, just by using dot, dot, dot, … at the end it makes people want to know what’s been left out. The curiosity factor in full effect. This is a way to use what is called the “Zeigarnik effect” and it’s the secret weapon of the best direct marketers.

This is known as the cliff hanger. It works in your emails, copy, and videos. It will always work. To make it have the effect you are looking for you simply have to give part of the story and then interrupt…

The brain can’t handle non complete thoughts; we need to find out what the rest of the story is. Shows like “Prison break” or “24″ successfully employ this tactic. The end of each fast paced episode leaves you hanging. You just can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Also a strong way to use this weapon of influence in marketing by promising to “give you the most powerful, secret ad writing tactics, the masters will never tell you about…”

Now the reader must perform a very specific action to get the information being offered, such as opt-in or click your affiliate link.

Again writing copy, can be fairly simple, just subscribe to all the direct mail biz opp and other mail lists you can get on. The copy in direct mail will blow your mind. Because it’s been time tested, and fine tuned. Direct mail marketers have little margin for error.

And right now I’m gonna blow the lid off of a little secret that Chris uses, and now I use as well that will make your copy convert like crazy. Take direct mail pieces and tape them by your computer and rewrite (swipe) this proven copy in your own words. I guarantee you’ll write and convert 1500% better.

Instead of just trying to write off the top your head as if you’re some kind of Mark Twain or something “copy the best”…of direct mail copywriters. Put together a good swipe file folder.

Here are some more ways to kick your copywriting up a notch.

  • Use mild swear words (kick ass, damn,)
  • Ask a question then answer it with a question.
  • Try using the words “how to” in your ad
  • Tell them “not to do something before doing this”
  • Attack the brand
  • Try writing ads that appeal to the senses ( Can you hear that?)
  • Use numbers and money (searchers love numbers)
  • Add different punctuation
  • Use the keyword in the title
  • Make your words rhyme
  • Capitalize all words in the headline

Before I turn this into a full ebook devoted to the art of making money I’ll leave you with a few more formats to think about, and we’ll move onto a very powerful fairly new method to make affiliate sales at no cost to you. Everybody likes free money…Correct?

Did You Know?
Making Money is Easy Now
With our Tips?
www.freeaffiliate-guide.com

In this ad I used my double question method, hit em with a question and follow up with a question. I also included the keyword [affiliates] twice to get the word bold to stick out.

Plus, I used the phrase that works like crazy “Did you know that [keyword] is” and then you can end it with a benefit. I also repeated it twice for a nice sounding effect when you read it.
Q: Did you know?
A: Do I know what?
Q: Did you know that Making Money is Easy No?
A: No I didn’t know that, what’s this all about, I want to clean up in the affiliate game.

If I was recruiting affiliates, this ad would pull affiliates that may be searching for a new product to promote. It would appeal to their curiosity. Let’s do another ad using one of the weapons of influence, social proof.

Affiliate Rockstar Status
10,000 others can’t be wrong
Will you be left behind?
www.your website name.com

Social proof is shown by talking about how many others similar to you have already done something. Most people follow the herd mentality, knowingly or not. If it’s good enough for everyone else it’s good enough for me.

Hot Secret #1; Intentional spelling and capitalization mistakes lead to more attention in adwords?

This trick is one that doesn’t work for ever and can easily burns out. But it’s a great way to get an early head start and provide quick cash injection to boost your Adwords budget.

The trick is quite simple - make simple mistakes such as transposition of letters and capitalization. So, instead of writing ‘Great New Widget’ try something like ‘GreaT New Widget’ or…… instead of ‘Surprising New Video’ try; “SuRpRisinG New Video’

With other words try transposing letters within a word.

As in the word ’sale’ in this example; ‘Great New Widget - On Sela Now’.

NOTE: Remember that you must keep your keywords spelled correctly; otherwise they won’t appear in bold.

Trust me it works, we’ve split test it and in most markets it gives you at least a temporary boost in CTR (Click Through Rate). It’s also good to test the above trick in email headlines. I’ve found it often leads to greater opening rates for emails you send.

Tip: Did You Know That One Secret Keyword Alone Could Double the Conversion Rate of Your Site?

Try testing the “secret” keyword in your Google Adwords Ads.  This time we added just one keyword “Secrets” into the headline of our Google Adwords ads. The results?

Take a look;
Losing Ad;
Online Marketing Discover the 40 Online
Marketing Tactics - Boost Sales 95%
[CTR=0.24% CR=2.8%]

Winning Ad;
Online Marketing Secrets Discover the 40 Online
Marketing Tactics - Boost Sales 95%
[CTR=0.25% CR=8.6%]

The only change was that we added the keyword “Secrets” to the headline of one of the ads.

“Secrets” is one of those power keywords. Everyone wants to know what The Secrets of X are (just think of the movie The Secret, highly recommended if you’re completely out of the loop). While it’s incredibly overused as long as it works, keep trying it.

In this case, CTR was about the same but we saw a HUGE jump in the conversion rate. About 3 times (+200%) as many people took advantage of the offer.

It’s often amazing that although there is not a big change in the CTR, there still can be a huge difference in Conversion Rate. We might think that by the time people take action on the site they would have long forgotten about the ad that they read. And they probably have.

However, it does seem to make a lasting impact. Once again, it shows you why monitoring your Conversion Rates and testing everything is so important.

You’ve found some niches and products to promote now you have to do the proper keyword research and with some of the tools out there you can find out what all the top affiliates are using for any product in ClickBank.

This is almost unfair. I think it’s just a matter of being “in the know” these days, because you can take any product and can see almost all the affiliates promoting it and what keywords and ads they are using before you even begin promoting. Sound unbelievable? I still can’t believe how easy it is.

Step 1. Put together a good keyword list. There are free ways to get lists of keywords and the searches for given keyword but we are not trying to get big traffic; we are looking for traffic that converts.

So my recommendation is forget about big lists of thousands of keywords, concentrate on finding 10 to 20 hand picked winning keywords to start off with that are more likely to convert because you’ve stolen them, then expand from there. Don’t worry it’s legal, but I won’t make you any friends.

To find the 20 words you’ll start your campaigns with, you’ll simply find out what the top affiliates are using. You’ll start by putting together a good list to monitor.

There are free trials you can check out of these tools :

  • Key Compete
  • Keyword Spy
  • Hexatrack
  • Affiliate Elite

There are some other services as well that do almost the same thing but I like Keyword Spy the best because it’s not on my desktop which can be slow and I like the layout. It’s easy for me to read and download.

You can actually type in a merchant ID which you get from your hoplink for the product and it will give you all the affiliate IDs promoting it, the keywords, and ads. It’s insane, then you can see how many other products the super affiliates are promoting and what they are. Total insanity.

If you don’t want to get totally ripped like this I recommend you set up different affiliate accounts for each product and there are also some spy defenders out there. However I’m not sure how they stand up to some of these services. I’ve always kept my keyword lists low and use different IDs and domains keyword and per product.

You can weed a lot of keywords out over time by testing and tracking. The reason why I mention this is because some of the affiliates stand out by the amount of keywords they are bidding on.

Otherwise use seobook.com keyword tool or Google’s own keyword tool to put together a big list to monitor. So if your budget is low do it this way and then atleast grab AdSpyPro for a measly one time fee of $67 and monitor the keywords.

Step 2. Now you can plug these big lists of keywords into SPY tools to monitor ads and keywords that are there 24/7 for atleast 5-7 days. What does that mean? Usually this means someone is making money with that ad and keyword, almost guaranteed. Otherwise someone is wasting tons of money and not paying attention.

Several programs can do this.

  • AdSpyPro
  • Hexatrack
  • Affiliate Elite

Most of the programs I am listing I have access to, either because I got JV review access or I bought the program or pay the monthly membership fee. Some work better then others and some have small features that are different and make them worthwhile to keep in my arsenal.

Note: I recommend you have two things most importantly. One is a tool to spy on the competition’s keyword and ads over time. The other is a tool to track at the keyword level.

If you were to choose one, choose having a keyword tracking tool. Atleast then you can plug in keyword lists that you think will work and then track them to find out.

Using Hexatrack is free for a small amount, and pro is monthly but real cheap at the moment also I have AdSpyPro which you have to download. This tool is a cheap one time fee but is limited. Affiliate Elite is also another powerful desktop tool that I highly recommend to do this.

If you invested in the upsell there is a personal spy tool I included also that can show you what your competitors are using for ad copy as well.

Use these tools to start your campaigns and you’ll skip the line. Now let’s swipe those ads and set up our adgroups in our first campaign.

Setting up Your Adwords Campaign

You should now have keywords and ads ready to go tightly grouped so that they are relevant and will receive high CTR. The next step is to get your campaign running and begin testing.

Remember: Test, Test, Test, and Track, Track, Track…It’s one of the most important components of success.

And again, I’m only human…it took me a little while to learn this. I use to hate testing, but now I’ve become a lab rat. I get more excited about testing little tweaks then some of the bigger accomplishments. It’s funny how that works out.

So now take the ads and keywords and lay them out in excel in the proper format so that you can easily upload them to Adwords Editor. I’ve included a video on using adwords editor.

The excel format should be like this:

Campaign | Ad Group Name | Title | Line 1 | Line 2| |Display | Destination | Status |

After you upload using Adwords Editor make sure to click on edit campaign and use these settings.

Set your daily budget low to start with like $50 is good or whatever you feel comfortable with. But the key is taking top positions paying the most per click to get these top spots but getting a super high CTR.
Then over time you will slowly reduce your bids in daily increments while keeping your CTR high so that you can achieve the same positions for cheaper then your competition is paying for lower spots.

Delivery method: Accelerated

Position Preference: Enable it and choose 1- 3…yes top positions forget about all that sweet spot talk. It’s proven that in the top spots your ROI per click is much higher then in the lower positions.

Ad Serving: Make sure to Rotate: show ads evenly, so your split tests are accurate.

Networks: For now, only check Search Network when you are first testing out your campaigns and expand to the others later. Also never set up campaigns that are running both content and search. This is a big newbie mistake.

Google automatically has sets the content network so turn it off in the editor or later in your campaign settings. It’s important to remember that.

You’ll want to do campaigns for search and separate campaigns for content so you can properly test and track what’s crap and what’s not.

Target only English Speaking, I usually use United States, Canada, UK, and Australia to start with, but you definitely can expand this later.

Start your campaigns only using the keywords [exact match] until you further expand your keyword list later.

Best Online Tips To Writing Effective Google AdWords

For successful campaign, advertisers must know how to write ads to run using google adwords. The simplest way to grab the attention of the searcher is to use the keywords being searched for throughout the ad so that they will be bold.

Google makes the keyword bold in the ad. So let’s take a look at an ad like this. This is easy when you are keeping your adgroups tightly relevant :

Learn Affiliate Marketing

Beginners Guides & Tips For successful marketing!

www.freeaffiliate-guide.com

This ad would be grouped with the keyword exact match [affiliates]. So the word affiliates would be bolded.

Tip: Use the Dynamic Keyword code.

When you add the code {KeyWord} (replacing keyword with your keyword), it will automatically add that word to your title. For example, you could write an ad that originally read:

Discovered! {KeyWord: Affiliate Riches}

So when the person searched for affiliate riches, this is what they would see in your Google Adwords campaign:

Discovered! Affiliate Riches

It would replace the code with the chosen term and bold it for you so that it really stands out. If the keyword you are searching for is [Goa Tour Package] your ad should look like this:

Title : Goa Tour Package
Looking for Goa Tour Package?
Discount travel deal here.
www.surf-goa.com

So the keyword will be in bold and will grab the reader. If you break this ad down there are a few of my tricks I like to use. First “Looking for [keyword]? Is a power player title. You can use this for most products and expect a great CTR.  Second, is whitespace. Yes, take note…whitespace. And this should come as no big secret.

Whitespace seems to help all copywriting always. It’s no different with adwords. I’ve been using a lot of whitespace lately in my ads and getting tremendous increases. You’ll notice just a period, because google won’t allow just a blank line.

Third is to create a specific landing page with the title being the same as the keyword. For two reasons, one you can add it as another bold word in the display URL and two it will increase your quality score. You can also use subdomains to bold your keyword as well, in your display URL like so abc.xyzzz.com.

Just by adding the keywords in your ads and keeping your adgroups tight you will beat out 80% of adword users. Like 1 and 4 do this, because they have too many keywords all using the same ads. So the ads aren’t as relevant or tightly targeted so they get lower clickthroughs.

Again, this is a must. It takes time, but it can be automated with software.

Swiping the Best Ad Copy - Best Tips to Increase Online Business

I know it’s kind of silly if you’ve been out there starting any other way. The affiliate marketing world has evolved and all you have to do is know the right tools to use, along with some other sneaky tactics I’ll show you in the videos and it’s hard for you to lose.

You should now have a handful of top converting keywords you’ve researched and chosen and are ready to start your campaign in Google, but you don’t feel like your copy is very compelling. Boohoo.

Don’t stress. You use my good friend Chris’s trick and “Copy the Best”. You’ve taken their keywords, swipe their ads too. Take the ads that you’ve been following and start off with by using a slight variation. Don’t copy exactly though.

There’s no need to beat yourself up trying to write super compelling ad copy when you can use what’s already been tested and proven to work.

I don’t like to think of myself as being lazy more like smart.

Important: Just make sure your ads and keywords in each ad group are super relevant and targeted.

What is Adwords?

WARNING: Please stop fooling around with what you think you know so far and follow these best practices when using Adwords and I can guarantee that you will get the best ROI (return on investment). You’ll be able to dominate the competition, while paying less for clicks and you won’t have to worry about getting slapped by Google.

First let’s think about what we are trying to accomplish. I’ll say creating a six figure affiliate marketing business selling only digital info products from ClickBank and using Google Adwords for traffic.

As an affiliate our job is to presell a prospect on the given product in question. There are a few ways to do this, which I show in the case studies. IMPORTANT: Make it easy on yourself. Just keep in mind always, that you are helping someone find a solution to their problem. It’s really that simple. You don’t have to sell the sizzle. Or even be a good salesman in any aspect of the word. You just need to understand that you are there to help the prospect find an answer to their pain.

Focus directly on solving the person’s problem and you won’t ever have to sell them on the solution you are offering.

The more targeted and relevant your solution is to addressing their problem the easier the product your promoting will sell. It’s that simple.  And the Google guys being the smart and savvy mega billionaires they are totally understand this simple fact. And will reward you with cheaper clicks, if you make it easy for the prospect to find the solution they are looking for.

Understand?
Good! To make adwords work for you just remember to be as relevant as you can by keeping your keywords, ad groups, ad copy, and landing pages, all congruent and you will be an adwords sniper yet.

It took me a bit of time to really take a step back and realize how this all works in the overall scheme of things and if you can just grasp this now you won’t have to waste thousands of dollars like me trying to figure out what the hell Google wants from you.

Skip getting your ads banned, your bids raised, and your pages slapped.

Just follow this core outline I designed to keep even the greenest newbie on track to dominate adwords.

I included this very important guide as part of the video series just in case I forget to mention any of the important points I wanted you to know during my long rants.

This guide alone is worth the price, it will save you tons of time and money wasted trying to figure out the best practices and how to get the best ROI out of Google. You can trust I know what I’m talking about after busting my butt trying to please the Big G. I’ve spent countless hours testing and tracking and I’ve spent more then a boatload of cash.

One last thing…before we get into the meat. I want you to know that the content network does work, in case you are listening to the forum whiners, reading old guides, or tried it years ago and got burned.

It’s simply a matter of writing your ads differently, focusing on keyword phrases that make more sense for the content network which I’ll expand on later, building a list because usually these prospects may not be ready to buy immediately since they are more like browsers and tracking properly with a service like ppseer.com or xconversions.

Buyers know what they are looking for and search it out on Google, as browsers are surfing around leisurely and if something catches there eye they check it out they don’t need something they buy more out of want. So you have to write your ads and copy differently for the content network.

Google has done wonders improving the network and with placement targeting and the right tracking you can really clean up with the content network while 95% of Adwords users are still fighting over expensive search network clicks. Not too mention build massive lists for dirt cheap.

I’m not saying we are not going to use the search network, I’m just saying don’t discount the content network anymore. Get in, the proper way that I’m going to show you and you’ll be reaping huge benefits. I mean there’s gold in them thar hills my friend. Seriously.

Disclaimer: Oh and I almost forgot…To really make this business take off, you need to make the correct investments in the right tools for your business, and I list the spy and keyword tracking tools that are most needed. I know you understand there are expenses with any business. I’m sure I weeded out those tire kickers out on the sales page.

In search of Profitable Affiliate Programs

In order to have a clear picture of Affiliate program, we need to understand the term Affiliate well. Affiliate is partner and it is actually this concept of partnership that drives the Affiliate market in the mammoth world of internet marketing.

The mother business wants huge traffic in its site and thus delegates the responsibility of people visiting their site to their affiliates who in turn are paid for their endeavor each time a person visits the company’s website.

Orthodox methods like search engine optimization, e mail marketing, misspelling etc are randomly used along with less heard of methods like getting product or service review of partners published. Traffic is usually directed from one website to other and there are dedicated affiliate websites that render service by using pay per click, directories, or may be coupon and rebate concept.

The market is actually inundated with affiliate marketing programs today but how to choose the best out of the rest? As an affiliate I’d be expending time, money and my hard work to promote and advertise the company I’m working for and naturally would want to make the most out of it in terms of financial gains. A few points thus need to be considered seriously before kick starting some affiliate program.

Firstly the business should be running for quiet some time and any company that comes into life overnight have very fair chances of dying a natural death in a jiffy, leaving you behind licking your fingers. Secondly you should always monitor who are your competitor affiliates and if you find super affiliates running the show, you can drop your guard and plunge headlong. Check the popularity of a site before promoting it. If it’s a hot cake you are the lucky one and if it’s rarely visited for its uninteresting content, better leave it alone for good. Alexa.com is a site that provides ranking to sites according to traffic and understanding the public pulse as to what is hot and happening is imperative in making a prudent choice.

Companies offering multi tier commission are worth giving consideration but however alluring the offers might seem to be it’s always good to read review of earlier affiliates before embarking suddenly and repenting later. Apart from these, factors usually considered trivial like the support departments promptness, update status of statistical reports, minimum commission payment could actually give clear signal as to how credible the business is. So the next time you see statistical reports that do not update even after clicking think twice before registering because after all “prevention is better then cure”.

Does blogging alone Pay?

Blogging, a term no longer new to the world is an online passion for many who spend hours delving deep in the enigmatic world of web. It had a very modest beginning but now the popularity of blogging has actually skyrocketed with host of bloggers all over the world exchanging information, ideas and a lot more. What was once weblog or an electronically stored diary with regular entries of personal proceedings, graphics and anecdote underwent stupendous metamorphosis with thousands of communities today all over the world containing range of topics absurd to abstruse, widely connecting the world into one huge fraternity of bloggers.

A simple reason for this rising popularity is that there is a fair chance of earning good amount of money just by blogging.

The idea that only the rich and famous make money by bloging no longer holds true and anyone with a good business acumen and capability to socialize can make fast bucks. High level of skill in developing web content is no more required to create your own profile as many formats are already available in the internet for free and some are extremely well designed.

Once the profile is created you can start blogging, right away, building up communities and common interest groups. The more traffic you generate in your blog site, the richer you are because each person who visits your site, every time, generates income for you. You can see really good result provided you make a dedicated blog and keep yourself from discussing everything under the sun and concentrating on your core area of strength and interest. Focused blogging really helps big time and though you would not get rich overnight, you can expect good return once you site starts gaining popularity.

There are some popular sites that do generate around 40000$ per month however they have already established credentials and are visited by millions around the globe. Sensible players do not rely entirely on blogging alone in the initial stage and good affiliate program can strongly complement blogging.

The best part about affiliate program is that you really don’t need to have fisherman’s patience to wait and watch by the time your site develops and starts generating money for you.

Google adsense is a truly a sensible way to earn money apart from blogging and this software is an easy to use code provided to you by google that is linked to your website and pays you money every time an user clicks on it.

So the bottom line is that in order to do successful internet marketing you need to adapt a mix and match strategy and ideally blogging should be complemented with other money making programs at least till the time your blog site comes out from infancy.
